How to Check Service Status and Server Information in WHM<\/strong><\/p>\n

This tutorial is helpful to check the server status of various services and server information in WHM.<\/p>\n

View the Services Currently Running on the Server<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Log in to your WHM.
\n2. Click the Server Status link in the left navigation menu.<\/p>\n

Once you\u2019ve clicked on the Server Status link, you\u2019ll be presented with a list of services running on the server. Here, you\u2019ll know which services are running and which of them are having issues. Those that are running fine will have a green light against them. Those with red lights and yellow lights are failing and about to fail respectively.<\/p>\n

exim – handles sending and receiving emails.
\npop – handles POP3 connections for checking email.
\nimap – handles IMAP connections, also for checking email.
\nhttpd – handles webpage requests.
\nftpd – handles uploading and downloading files<\/p>\n

Viewing Information about the Server<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Log in to your WHM.
\n2. Click the Server Information link in left navigation menu.<\/p>\n

Once you\u2019ve clicked on the Server Information link, you\u2019ll be able to view complete details of your server including number of processors, type of processors, memory information, RAM usage, system information and Physical disks space usage among others.<\/p>\n

The Server Information page gives us information about the specific hardware configuration of the server.<\/p>\n

For example, you can see the processor installed on the server. Dual core processors will display as two separate but identical processors. Quad core processors will display as four separate but identical processors.<\/p>\n

You can also see how much RAM is installed on the server.<\/p>\n

This page also shows more in depth information about how the hard drive is partitioned and how much disk space on each of those partitions is currently being used.<\/p>\n
