ls -with no option
By using ls command, you have to seen list of files and directories.
To View Hidden files
By using ls -a option to files and directories along with hidden files starting with “.”
List files with option -l
By using ls -l command,you will see list of files and directories size,modified date and time and owner of the file and it’s permission
List of files and directories end with “/”
By using ls -F command,you will see the list of files and directories ended with /
List file with option -la
By using ls -la command, you will see list of files and directories size,modified date and time and owner of the file and it’s permission including hidden files.
List file size with human readable format
By using ls -lh command,you will see list of files and directories size,modified date and time and owner of the file and it’s permission.Also you can see the file and folder size in human readable format
Files in Reverse order
By using ls -r command, you will see list of files and directories in reverse order

By using ls -s command, you will see the list of file and directory size.
Sort by File size
By using ls -S command, you will see the list of files and directories by sorting the file size
Sort by date and time
By using ls -t command, you will the list of files and directories by sorting date and time
Inode number of file and directory
By using ls -i command, you will see the list of files and directories with inode number
